Registered Psychotherapist, MA, RP

WELCOME, I’M SO HAPPY YOU’RE HERE!

I’m a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a Certified Yoga Teacher. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology of Mental Health and a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology. I’m located in Mississauga, Ontario and provide services to any Ontario resident over the age of 18.

Over the years I have worn, and continue to wear, many different hats. I’m a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother and a friend. I am also someone who lives with a chronic illness, and often struggles with my own anxiety. I love to travel, try new foods, or curl up with a cup of coffee and a good book. I love to use movement as a way to process and navigate my own feelings. Some days I am overly productive, and other days I binge-watch bad reality TV. I’m organized, I’m messy; I’m human.

It’s through these experiences that I can say with confidence that I am never going to be perfect, and I do not expect perfection from you either. The beautiful part of therapy, is being able to connect with others, human-to-human and embrace the raw and messy parts of life, together.

I am so excited to meet you, and I look forward to exploring what our therapeutic journey can look like.

My Approach

A woman with dark hair tied back, sitting on a wooden bench by the water, looking out at the ocean and distant mountains, wearing a white shirt, a scarf, and sandals.

My approach to therapy is based on the understanding that just like life does not have a one-size-fits-all approach for success, therapy should not either. As an attachment-based relational therapist, I take the time to get to know you as a whole person, not just your symptoms.

Once we have created a strong foundation, I pull from various evidence-based modalities, such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Somatic Therapy to find the best way to support your unique needs. Using collaboration, transparency, and open communication, I work to create a therapeutic relationship that prioritizes you, the client, as the expert on your life. Together, we can move towards healing and an understanding of self that is rooted in acceptance and self-compassion.
